SPOILER ALERT: If you have not read SUPERMAN/WONDER WOMAN #6 and do not wish to know what happens, stop reading this post now (major spoilers ahead!).
It may have taken six issues for Superman to say those three little words, but the moment has arrived! There’s no better time to say “I love you” for the first time than just before setting off an atomic explosion from inside a nuclear reactor core.
But what choice do Superman and Wonder Woman have? Having just been betrayed by Wonder Woman’s brother, Apollo, they’re willing to do anything to stop Zod and Faora from opening a portal to the Phantom Zone.
They’re forced to do the unthinkable to stop global destruction. With no concern for themselves, they commit to a nuclear blast. Will it be enough to stop the rogue Kryptonians?
But first, without spoiling the outcome, we wanted to share this scene from page 19 of SUPERMAN/WONDER WOMAN #6 where, moments before splitting an atom to save the world, Superman tells Wonder Woman that he loves her. And her response is priceless.
Take a look below, and then sound off in the comments section about this incredible moment!
SUPERMAN/WONDER WOMAN #6, written by Charles Soule and illustrated by Tony S. Daniel, Batt and Sandu Florea, is available in stores now.
