WHAT IS GOTHAM KNIGHTS?

Gotham Knights is a brand-new open-world, third-person action RPG (role-playing game) featuring the Batman Family. Players will step into the roles of Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin, a new guard of trained DC Super Heroes who must rise up as the protectors of Gotham City in the wake of Batman’s death. The game features both solo and two-player co-op modes, and will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S consoles, and PC.

WHAT IS BATMAN: GOTHAM KNIGHTS – GILDED CITY?

Batman: Gotham Knights – Gilded City is a six-issue comic book series that serves as a thrilling prequel to the Gotham Knights game, written by Evan Narcisse and illustrated by Abel. The series takes place in both modern-day Gotham and the Gotham of 1847, and each print issue includes a code that readers can redeem for an exclusive in-game item. Paid subscribers of DC UNIVERSE INFINITE (not available in all territories) will also be able to access digital issues of Batman: Gotham Knights – Gilded City, and will receive codes upon reading the issue. Codes will not be available during the free trial period of DC UNIVERSE INFINITE. Readers who redeem codes from all six issues will receive four exclusive skin variants (one for each character)! 

The in-game items unlocked by these codes are true exclusives. The only way to get these items is by redeeming the codes from the comics (only available in print copies and for paying subscribers of DC UNIVERSE INFINITE). Readers/players will not be able to buy these items in the game! 

WHEN IS BATMAN: GOTHAM KNIGHTS – GILDED CITY AVAILABLE? 

Batman: Gotham Knights – Gilded City #1 on DC UNIVERSE INFINITE and the Gotham Knights video game both go on sale on the same day: October 21, 2022. The print release for Batman: Gotham Knights – Gilded City #1 will release on October 25, 2022.

HOW CAN GOTHAM KNIGHTS PLAYERS GET ACCESS TO THE BATMAN: GOTHAM KNIGHTS – GILDED CITY EXCLUSIVE IN-GAME ITEMS?

The print version of each of the six issues of Batman: Gotham Knights – Gilded City will be polybagged with one unique code that unlocks that issue’s in-game item(s). If you redeem the code from all six issues of Batman: Gotham Knights – Gilded City, you’ll receive an exclusive skin variant for all four playable characters! The collected edition collects all six comic books and includes one unique code that unlocks all items in the list below.

Batman: Gotham Knights – Gilded City will be released day and date on DC UNIVERSE INFINITE, and the in-game item codes will also be available to paying subscribers who read the issues on DC UNIVERSE INFINITE. Codes will not be available during the free trial period of DC UNIVERSE INFINITE. DC UNIVERSE INFINITE is not available in all countries and is not intended for children.

After reading the Batman: Gotham Knights – Gilded City comic on DC UNIVERSE INFINITE with a paid subscription, head to 'My DC' section of DC UNIVERSE INFINITE and click on the 'Inbox' tab to grab your code for that issue.

Codes are not available in digital versions of the Batman: Gotham Knights – Gilded City comics that are sold individually. The only way to get codes through a digital platform is with a paid subscription to DC UNIVERSE INFINITE.

Code redemption can be from digital or physical issues, or a combination of both. In order to receive the exclusive skin variants for all four playable characters, the codes for the six items must be redeemed on the same account.

Codes will expire on October 25, 2032.

WHAT IS DC’S POLICY ON RETURNING PHYSICAL COPIES OF BATMAN: GOTHAM KNIGHTS – GILDED CITY?

Only first printings of Batman: Gotham Knights – Gilded City comics are returnable. Batman: Gotham Knights – Gilded City issues must be returned in saleable condition with original polybag and sticker code intact. The window for returning physical copies should follow the normal return schedule for all books, which will begin in the second month after the title’s on-sale month. For example, Batman: Gotham Knights – Gilded City #1 will be released on 10/21/22 and returns of this item can be received anytime between December 1 and December 31, 2022.
