James Marsano

 

James was born in Jakarta, Indonesia, and moved to Los Angeles when he was 16.  English wasn't his first language but thankfully his mom was an English teacher at an International school so it wasn't hard to learn. He can speak two languages fluently and is currently picking up Japanese as well.

Growing up as a boy, he always had the passion to draw portraits and make figurines since his father would often come home from work bringing him action figures and play-doh. He loved collecting them, and still does to this day. 

He went to a community college to pursue his career in the fine arts to learn more about the classical figurative sculpture, then a friend invited him to study entertainment design and digital production to focus on modeling and texturing at Gnomon School of Visual Effects.

In July of 2014, he was lucky enough that his Senior Art Director, Shawn Knapp, took an interest in his work and invited him to the DC Collectibles family, and he has been here ever since!
