Dave Cortes

 

Dave Cortes was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. A student of the School of Visual Arts, Dave began experimenting with stop motion animation and was fascinated with building the characters. He began his career at McFarlane Toys as a staff sculptor. Feeding off the talent of other sculpting professionals at McFarlane Toys, Dave experimented and progressed quite rapidly, producing an impressive portfolio of figures.

 

Broadening his client base, Cortes has since forged powerful relationships with DC Comics,Sideshow Toys, and the former Toy Biz branching out to more comic related and mainstream characters. He currently works (day and night) from his studio in Park Slope, Brooklyn entitled Cortes Studio.
