From DC and Loma Vista Recordings comes the Dark Nights: Death Metal Soundtrack, executive produced by Tyler Bates; companion piece to the bestselling comics and graphic novels by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo.
Much like the Dark Nights: Death Metal comic series isn’t the typical superhero storyline, its musical counterpart isn’t the typical superhero soundtrack. Under the executive producer stewardship of acclaimed composer Tyler Bates (Guardians of the Galaxy, Watchmen, John Wick), the Dark Nights: Death Metal Soundtrack brings together artists such as Mastodon, Denzel Curry, Manchester Orchestra, Chelsea Wolfe, IDLES, Starcrawler and more, with each contributing songs directly inspired by the text.
Dark Nights: Death Metal Soundtrack is in stores now! Head to your local comic book store to find the limited edition Wonder Woman cover variant, your local indie record store to find the limited edition Superman cover variant, and Newbury Comics to find the limited edition Batman cover variant - see all details below!
PLUS check out the brand new video for Starcrawler’s “Goodtime Girl” - from the Dark Nights: Death Metal Soundtrack! Directed by Gilbert Trejo, the clip depicts the twisted, gang-ridden Earth realm of Dark Nights: Death Metal and features cameos from David Hasselhoff, who voiced Superman in the Dark Nights: Death Metal animated showcase Sonic Metalverse, along with Danny Trejo and Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age).
Starcrawler also performed at the Dark Nights: Death Metal Soundtrack release party in Los Angeles last week. Thanks everyone for coming out to celebrate!
