Who knew that Kite Man would turn out to have one of the most heartbreaking stories in Gotham? The C-lister’s tale continues in this week’s excellent BATMAN #30, in which we discover what happens after he joins with the Joker in the War of Jokes and Riddles.
In short, nothing good.
It seems that for Kite Man, the higher he flies, the further he falls. Sent on a recon mission into Riddler territory, Kite Man and the Tweedles find themselves turned away—painfully—by none other than the Dark Knight himself. But what is this? Batman can’t have joined with the Riddler, can he? And what will the Joker’s reaction to this surprising turn of events be? (Something tells us he won’t find it very funny.) Find out both in this exclusive first look at the second part of Tom King’s “The Ballad of Kite Man”!
BATMAN #30 by Tom King, Clay Mann, Seth Mann and Jordie Bellaire is in stores this Wednesday.
