In iZombie, actress Rose McIver plays Olivia “Liv” Moore, a newly made zombie who must consume human brains to maintain her semblance of humanity. The only problem is that those brains come with a week’s worth of (often unwanted) memories and personality traits that once belonged to their owner and which Liv must then endure.

This got us thinking. Putting aside the whole brain-eating thing, if you could become a real-life Liv for a day and experience the memories and personality of someone, living or dead, who would you choose? We asked several of the show’s cast members for their picks and their answers, fittingly, were pretty thought provoking.

David Anders (Blaine):

Any given rock star would be my go-to answer for that because I’m a huge music fan. I’ve always wanted to play the stadiums and experience what they experience. But let’s say, Robert Plant or Jim Morrison.

Malcolm Goodwin (Clive Babineaux):

I’m going to say Muhammad Ali. I just think as charismatic a guy as he was, he was a man that stood for his convictions, religiously, socially, and he was also funny. He was a great entertainer and a salesman of what he does in terms of being a boxer and what he represented at that time in sports but also in the landscape of the world. I think it would be incredible to feel what that feels like. And there’s the part where he can kick ass too! But it’s largely what he represented inside the ring and outside of it as well. I find it pretty fascinating.

Rahul Kohli (Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti)

I’m very career focused, so I would probably eat Daniel Day Lewis’s brain. I just think it might be beneficial to my work to see how he prepares and see how he gets into character. Yeah, I’d probably go for that one. I know somebody is going to say Dalai Lama or Gandhi, but I’m going to go with Daniel Day Lewis.

Robert Buckley (Major Lilywhite)

I’ve given this one a lot of thought, and I’m going to go with Bill Murray. You know why? Because I want to know what he whispered to Scarlett Johansson at the end of Lost in Translation. No one knows and he won’t tell, so I would like to know what was whispered between the two of them. And then you get the personality and the character traits of the person. I mean, I just think that would be awesome to have like, Bill Murray’s comedic genius and instincts, and would love to know how that mind works.

So if you found out what he whispers to her, would you keep it to yourself or would you tell the world?

Are you kidding!? I would keep it to myself!

Diane Ruggiero-Wright (Executive Producer, iZombie)

Elvis. Come on! Wouldn’t you want to be Elvis and like, be on stage and remember how it was to be performing for all those people and be able to sing? Now I’m not picking when he dies after eating a bacon sandwich on the toilet. I’m picking Elvis in his heyday when people are throwing panties at him and he’s just singing his heart out on stage.

Want someone more contemporary? I wouldn’t mind being Jon Stewart. I wouldn’t mind being Mindy Kaling for a day. I’m not a big Lady Gaga fan, but screw it! She’s engaged to that super hot guy from Chicago Fire, so she’s probably got some good memories.

There’s things that I’ll never be able to do, so if I could have the ability to do them… If I could play for the New Jersey Devils for a game or have memories of winning the Stanley Cup, or memories of, say, Bruce Springsteen playing in a giant stadium, I’ll take that.

Those are their picks. Who's yours? Go on ahead and leave them in the comments below, and don’t forget to watch the series premiere of iZombie tonight at 9 p.m. (8 p.m. CST) on The CW.
