Don’t go any further if you don’t want to know any more.  But of course you do and you will.

Venom is the Bane of Batman's Life.

While Gordon and Bullock are cleaning up the remaining Viper drug, it has to be remembered that they’ve been warned that Viper was just the failed prototype. Venom is the perfected formula.  Why does this matter?  Because Venom is as powerfully addictive and generates super-strength—but without the bone-destroying side effects.  Batman has had several serious run-ins with the drug.  In Batman: Venom he becomes addicted to its power.

More importantly, Venom becomes the fuel that powers the maniacal villain Bane.  Giving him the strength to nearly cripple Batman.

An Outstanding Education at Gotham U.

Every great city needs a great institution of higher learning and Gotham City has Gotham University.  Of course, not every great University has its very own research reactor.  In the comics, its faculty has included illustrious academics like former psychology professor Dr. Jonathan Crane, also known as The Scarecrow.  And at the next alumni mixer, be sure to look for Harleen Quinzel.  Or maybe not as this student became much better known as fan favorite Harley Quinn.

 A Knight in Shining Armor

In a nice bit of foreshadowing, we see a suit of armor in Wayne Manor.  Sharp-eyed viewers have noticed it before, but it’s starting to become more prominent.  Of course it’s no secret, but young Bruce Wayne will become known as Batman—The Dark Knight.
