SPOILER ALERT: If you have not read SUPERGIRL #28 and do not wish to know what happens, stop reading this post now (major spoilers ahead!).
You may have already seen Kara Zor-El as a new Red Lantern if you caught the flip-book GREEN LANTERN/RED LANTERNS #28 earlier this month, but what you wouldn’t have seen is how a red ring found Supergirl in the first place, or how it chose her to wield the red light. “Red Daughter of Krypton” starts here!
Anger and rage are the cornerstones of the Red Lantern Corps, and Supergirl has both in spades. She’s had nothing but trouble since she woke up on Earth, and her latest fight with Lobo has only added fuel to her fire. But when one of the red rings that Atrocitus sent out to find new recruits finally honed in on her rage, would it have known she was already one of the most powerful beings on the planet? Or is being angry the only requirement?
Below, take a look at this image of Kara Zor-El, just moments before she becomes the “Red Daughter of Krypton”. Then sound off in the comments section about the newest Red Lantern recruit!
SUPERGIRL #28, written by Tony Bedard and illustrated by Yildiray Cinar and Ray McCarthy, is available in stores now. The story continues in SUPERGIRL #29 on March 19 and in RED LANTERNS #29 on March 26.
