This week, the most talked about comic book event of the summer, “Trinity War,” continued in the pages of JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA #6. But the battle between the Justice League, the Justice League of America, and the Justice League Dark has only just begun.
Earlier this week, we showed you JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA artist Doug Mahnke’s incredible triptych cover for the “Trinity War” titles being released in August. Today, take a sneak peek inside one of these titles as we give you an exclusive first look at Mahnke’s interior art for JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA #7.
“Both are massive talents completely comfortable with writing big or small moments,” Mahnke recently told USA TODAY about “Trinity War” writers Geoff Johns and Jeff Lemire. “I think they complement each other very well as writers, with high levels of cooperation and an interest in telling a compelling story. Jeff and I have talked about our love of characters like Frankenstein, so I enjoy seeing him and Geoff working the ‘monsters’ into the same plane as the heavy hitters like Superman and Batman.”
For more from Mahnke about “Trinity War,” check out some of the interviews that recently ran with the artist in USA TODAY, MTV GEEK, NERDIST and COMIC VINE. And don’t miss the next game-changing chapter of “Trinity War” in next week’s JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK #22!
