REAL NAME: Medphyll OCCUPATION: Green Lantern/Galactic Protector BASE OF OPERATIONS: Sector 586 HOMEWORLD: J586 HEIGHT: 6' 3" WEIGHT: 68 lbs EYES: Black (one-eye) HAIR: N/A (Mind Stalks) FIRST APPEARANCE: Green Lantern vol. 2 #11 (March, 1962) AKA: Green Lantern BACKGROUND from the comic books: Medphyll is one of the first members recruited by the Guardians of the Universe and comes from the plant world, J586. A sentient plant with a very unique biology, he gains nourishment through photosynthesis and life from his Mind Stalks that lie atop his head. These Mind Stalks are the only vital organs on his body. Medphyll's world is tropical leaving him vulnerable on colder planets or in space. This Corps member also possesses the special ability to transfer his thought-essence to any nearby plant life making him an ideal choice for reconnaissance missions. As a veteran warrior who served with numerous Lanterns, Medphyll considers Hal Jordan one of greatest. This was not his only meeting with an earthling having once encountered the Earth Elemental known as Swamp Thing. Utilizing his experience as a flora, Medphyll assisted Swamp Thing in returning to his homeworld. ATTRIBUTES:

REAL NAME: Penelops OCCUPATION: Green Lantern/Galactic Protector BASE OF OPERATIONS: Sector 1355 HOMEWORLD: Penelo HEIGHT: 10' 5" WEIGHT: 268 lbs EYES: Blue (one-eye) HAIR: N/A (hairless creature) FIRST APPEARANCE: Tales of the Green Lantern Corps #3 (July, 1981) AKA: Green Lantern BACKGROUND from the comic books: Penelo is an ocean planet whose inhabitants live in total darkness beneath the waves. The creatures of Penelo never venture to the surface of their world because they fear light which causes them pain. Only one has ever conquered those fears, the tentacle Lantern, Penelops. A being of immense willpower, Penelops is famous among the Corps for moving his planet's orbit away from the sun to prevent the oceans from boiling. Not one to boast, this modest GL prefers fulfilling his duty and retreating to the solitude beneath the sea. Able to blend in with his underwater surroundings, Penelops is an incredible asset on aquatic missions. This Emerald Warrior's tentacles aren't just for show, they can sting lawbreakers and spray thick blinding ink. Despite Penelops introverted nature, he has teamed with the likes of Tomar-Re, Hal Jordan and Guy Gardner on many important adventures highlighted in the sacred Book of Oa. ATTRIBUTES:
